Warm day with a few evening showers

The Weather Authority is tracking a warm Thursday afternoon, with a few showers expected towards the evening.

The Weather Authority Meteorologist Zach Maloch said, “For this Thursday, temperatures are expected to be similar to the rest of this week; however, there is a slightly higher chance of showers towards the evening. Most of Southwest Florida will stay dry today.”

Thursday

Thursday afternoon and evening will bring a mix of sun and clouds with mainly dry conditions.

While the afternoon will stay dry, a few showers will be possible early in the evening.

Highs will be above normal and in the upper 80s.

Friday

Dry and pleasant start for the Friday morning commute.

Mainly dry conditions are forecast, with sun and clouds in the afternoon.

Highs will be in the upper 80s.

Weather conditions will be perfect for high school football games on Friday evening.

Saturday

Clouds and sun will be with us for your Saturday plans, with the chance of a stray shower in the afternoon.

Thanks to a weak cold front that will be moving in, temperatures will be a bit on the cooler side, with highs in the mid-80s.

Tropics Update

The Weather Authority Meteorologists are forecasting quiet conditions in the tropics, as tropical development is not likely over the next seven days.

So far this season, we have seen 15 named storms, 10 of which developed into hurricanes and four of which developed into major hurricanes.

Hurricane season ends on Nov. 30.
