Naples man sentenced to 5 years for possessing child sexual abuse images

A Naples man has been sentenced to five years in federal prison for possessing child sexual abuse material.

According to the State Attorney’s Office, 46-year-old Myles Edwin Huff was found guilty of possessing and accessing with intent to view images depicting the sexual abuse of children.

Huff was also ordered to register as a sex offender. Huff entered a guilty plea on July 23.

According to court documents, between July and September 2023, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) received 28 cyber tips from an electronic service provider reporting that Huff was involved in the possession of child sex abuse material.

On Nov. 16, 2023, the FBI executed a search warrant at Huff’s residence and seized his cellphone.

During an interview with agents, Huff stated that he used his cellphone to search for child sexual abuse material.

The forensic examination of Huff’s cellphone revealed images of child sexual abuse material.
