RELATED: Safety, security, teachers; what Southwest Florida Superintendents have to say The program is set to run through the month of January 2025. According to the HCSO, the program enhances the safety of their children, promotes safe driving habits, and reduces speeding in their school zones. HCSO said, “Should you speed through Hendry County School Zones, you will receive a warning notice until February 1, 2025. Effective February 1, 2025, violators may face a $100 fine.”
