Marco Island City Council is recruiting qualified residents to fill Advisory Committee or Board positions.

The current openings are for the Audit Committee, the Beach and Coastal Committee, the Beautification Committee, the Parks and Recreation Committee, the Waterways Committee, and the Planning Board.

In Florida, members of municipal committees and boards must adhere to laws that include Florida’s Sunshine Law, Public Records Law and Code of Ethics.

Planning Board members must submit an annual Financial Disclosure (“Form 1”).

To be selected for an appointment, applicants must be full-time residents and electors of Macro Island and have not served more than eight consecutive years on the committee they are applying to.

Those interested should send a paper application to the City Clerk’s office at 50 Bald Eagle Drive.

Applicants requiring an auxiliary aid or other reasonable accommodation should contact the City Clerk to complete the application.

The Marco Island City Council will accept applications until Dec. 17. All information provided on your application shall become a public record and available to the public by Chapter 119, Florida Statutes.
