An access point to Midpoint Bridge getting into Fort Myers has reopened after a pedestrian crash early Friday morning.

According to the Cape Watch Commander, access to the bridge near the eastbound Veterans Memorial Parkway and Country Club in Cape Coral was shut down, as it’s been blocked for hours after a person was hit by a car in the area.

They confirmed a pedestrian was involved in the crash.

The crash occurred between Country Club Boulevard and Del Prado Boulevard. Drivers had to access the Midpoint Bridge by Del Prado Boulevard.

The victim’s condition is not yet known.
