Lee County man arrested for causing nearly $5K worth of property damage

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man accused of causing nearly $5,000 worth of property damage to a home in North Fort Myers.

Deputies arrested Brandon Scott Burnett, 41, on Dec. 31 after the victim reported a loud crashing noise while inside their home.

The victim said they discovered shattered glass and a partial brick on their bedroom dresser.

Upon arrival, witnesses of the act described Burnett committing the act and running away from the scene.

Deputies located Burnett after receiving another report of a man causing a disturbance before he shattered the victim’s window.

Burnett was arrested and charged with projecting a missile into a dwelling.

He is being held in the Lee County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
