Body cam footage shows the moments after a shooting at a Wawa gas station on Alico Road, which led to the arrest of a 22-year-old suspect early Saturday morning. Deputies from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded after hearing gunfire and apprehended Ryan Ditoro of Cape Coral as he attempted to flee the scene. RELATED: LCSO investigates early morning shooting near Wawa on Alico Road The incident began with a verbal argument, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. Ditoro allegedly shot the victim in the stomach from his black convertible. The victim’s condition has not been disclosed. Body cam footage captured the moments after Drummond, who was patrolling the area, heard the gunshots. Investigators revealed that Ditoro retrieved a gun from his black Mustang and fired at the victim through the window while driving away. Drummond arrived on the scene and successfully stopped Ditoro’s vehicle, taking him into custody. A gun was discovered in the center console of the black Mustang. The investigation is ongoing, and no further details have been released.
