Celtic Ray granted permit to pave overflow lot with shell

Punta Gorda City Council on Sept. 4 granted the owner of Celtic Ray Public House a temporary-use permit allowing covering for the tavern’s parking area with shell marl instead of sod, which would have cost more than $20,000.

Southwest Florida International Airport’s terminal expansion project will cost at least $135 million more than its original $331 million budget and will be completed about three years behind schedule, according to an email sent to port authority executives from a resigning executive. 

Leroy’s Fish Shack opening delayed until early 2025

The owners of Leroy’s Fish Shack expected it to open next month before running into a couple of unexpected delays. Instead, the restaurant will open in early 2025 in the space formerly occupied by the Village Fish Market, said co-owner Lee Richardson.
