One dead in Collier car accident

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Monday afternoon at the intersection of Lely Resort Boulevard and Tamiami Trail.

Troopers tell WINK News the cars collided in the intersection.

One of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital by helicopter with serious injuries.
