CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla.- People are protesting textbooks books used in county schools, saying they promote Islam.

More than 300 parents, grandparents and students showed up to a textbook committee meeting.

Most of them were protesting new textbooks that they claim are “pro-Islamic.”

The district spokesman says the textbook committee will most likely not make any decisions immediately on whether to get rid of those books.
