WEST BAY, Fla. (AP) – Two new airlines will be flying out of the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport near Panama City Beach.

Officials last week finalized agreements with United Airlines and Silver Airways. United will start offering flights Thursday on United Express to George Bush International Airport in Houston. Silver Airways will begin service to Tampa and Orlando on March 19.

The News Herald of Panama City (http://bit.ly/17JVcGS ) reports that as part of an incentive program for new airlines, Silver Airways and United qualify for a 50 percent reduction in landing fees and terminal rent for the first six months.

The airport authority last week also accepted a $400,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation aimed at bringing more new service to the airport north of Panama City Beach.
