LEE COUNTY, Fla.- A mother pleaded with a judge to keep her son’s accused killer behind bars.

Jddarian Irons, 24, was in court Wednesday morning, facing second-degree murder and robbery charges.

Monday, police say 17-year-old Ismael Torres was shot and killed outside a home on the 3600 block of Seminole Avenue. Authorities say Irons is responsible for that shooting.

Fort Myers Police found Irons in a room at the Green Wave Motel off of Palm Beach Boulevard Tuesday.

In court, the judge decided to hold Irons without bond.

Torres’s mother asked the judge to keep Irons behind bars, saying her son would never have the chance to meet his baby sister.

“He didn’t deserve this from Mr. irons. I would like to ask everyone here, and yourself your honor, for no bond or high bond in consideration that my son won’t be walking to receive his high school diploma.”

Irons is expected to be back in court next month.
