BOSTON (AP) – Two years after the Boston Marathon bombings, the city is remembering the attack that killed three people and wounded more than 260 others.

Mayor Martin Walsh has declared today “One Boston Day,” and there’ll be a moment of silence at 2:49 p.m. Eastern Time, when the first of two bombs went off near the finish line.

Walsh, Gov. Charlie Baker and other officials unveiled commemorative orange banners bearing a white heart and the word “Boston” on them on this morning at the site of the blasts on Boylston Street.

Bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev (joh-HAHR’ tsahr-NEYE’-ehv) was convicted just last week. His older brother was killed during the manhunt.
