CAPE CORAL, Fla. – It may remind you of your high school days, building a boat out of nothing but duct tape and cardboard, then racing to see who came out on top.
Well that’s what happened Saturday in Cape Coral at Four Freedoms Park, although these boats are much more detailed.
It was all for the annual Cape Coral Cardboard Boat Regatta. The event is a fundraiser for Rotary Club of Cape Coral.
It allows the group to then allocate that money back into the community to help those in need.
“Knowing that they are providing the ability for us to serve others here it’s a fantastic feeling,” said Alison Hussey, President of the Rotary Club of Cape Coral.
