Crime Stoppers getting tips in Bonita doctor’s murder

Published: Updated:

LEE COUNTY, Fla.- WINK News just got our hands on the Lee County Sheriff’s report into the murder of Teresa Sievers.

Ten days have gone by and still no arrest has been made in the gruesome killing of the Bonita Springs mother and doctor.

In the report, it shows 38 deputies responded to Sievers’ home the morning she died.

So far, the killer is still on the run.  We called Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers Thursday, they say 15 people have called in with tips or information about the case.

WINK news told you earlier this week, that Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott says the murder was not random.

Sources close to the investigation say Sievers was killed with a hammer, but Sheriff Scott would not comment on that.

He did tell WINK News, that the crime scene was very complicated, and there’s a lot of evidence.

Thursday, Sievers’ husband, Mark, announced he is donating all of the money they raised on a GoFundMe account to Good Shepherd Ministries of Fort Myers.

He says this was one of her favorite charities. So far they’ve raised more than $18,000.

Crime Stoppers is still accepting tips, anyone with any information is asked to call 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).
