Cocaine, heroin seized in Fort Myers drug bust

LEE COUNTY, Fla.- A Fort Myers drug trafficker was busted following a two-month special operation.

On Thursday, the Lee County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at a home on Barden Street. The search warrant was a result of an investigation into 44-year-old David Edison.

Authorities say during the past couple months, three controlled purchases of powder cocaine were made from Edison.

Inside Edison’s home, authorities found 15.4 grams of marijuana, 79.6 grams of powder cocaine, 13.6 grams of MDMA (Ecstasy), 9.6 grams of heroin, two stolen long guns and a 9mm handgun.

Edison is now facing multiple charges including trafficking cocaine, trafficking heroin and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Edison was arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail.
