With hurricane season less than two weeks away, it’s important to prepare.

Charlotte County hosted its 2024 Home and Hurricane Expo on Saturday to help with those preps.

The free event featured resources to help you and your loved ones prepare for extreme weather and offered enlightening presentations by The Weather Authority Team.

The event benefitted those who attended.

“A wonderful presentation today. Thank you and your team on the service they provide the community. It does not go unnoticed,” @JLSooner posted to X along with pictures from Saturday’s event.

Deanna Doney attended with her brother, a Charlotte CERT Member. She went to learn more about the updated information related to hurricanes and to check out the vendors. She also had the chance to take a picture with The Weather Authority Chief Meteorologist Matt Devitt.

Thank you to all who attended Saturday’s Expo in Punta Gorda and keep it tuned to The Weather Authority throughout hurricane season.
