
CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla.- A Port Charlotte man is recovering from burns after the boat he was working on exploded Thursday night in Punta Gorda Isles.
The boat’s owner, Billy Comeaux, was out of town.
He tells WINK News a man named Jarrett Macneill was working on the boat’s motor when it exploded. Macneill suffered burns but will be okay
The fire was ruled accidental. Authorities say it caused around $500,000 in damages.
