3 under arrest in Naples for prostitution

NAPLES, Fla.- Three people were arrested for prostitution in an undercover sting.

Authorities tell WINK News they noticed some suspicious activity while responding to a battery complaint that may have involved prostitutes.

WINK News checked out some of the hotels in the area and discovered the bust happened at the GulfCoast Inn on U.S. 41.

On Friday, Natalia Gutierrez went before a Collier County judge.

Police say undercover officers arranged to met her and Mary Zabala at a hotel, offering $250 in exchange for sexual acts.

A third person, Lenin Paramo, was also arrested.

According to authorities, Paramo would drive the women over from Miami to meet up with men. Officials say he would then serve as security. This time, police say he was sitting in his car outside of the hotel room, armed with a gun, binoculars, and multiple cellphones when the bust happened.

“This investigation is complete with these three individuals, but we do have ongoing prostitution-related investigations,” said Lt. Seth Finman with the Naples Police Department.

“It’s very shocking. I have my sons who are 17 and 19, and I would hate for them to, you know, to be lured into something like that,” said Jessica McCann who has been staying at the Gulf Coast Inn.

She says it’s unfortunate that something like this could happen at a hotel filled with so many families.

“I hope it doesn’t happen again that’s for sure. I mean, you know, it will that’s the nature of the beast you can’t always weed through people like that,” said McCann.

The manager of the hotel did not want to comment on the case. Police also tell WINK News more arrests not related to this case could come soon.
