OCALA, Fla. (AP) – Police have arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old girl in the parking lot of an Ocala nightclub.
Authorities say 24-year-old Laquan Ria’Mel Barrow was arrested Monday and charged with second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder.
Ocala police say Barrow sprayed a crowd of people with gunfire outside the Cloud 9 club on Sept. 13 after an argument with other people inside the business.
Police say the gunfire killed Benetria Robinson and wounded five others.
The Ocala Star-Banner reports that Barrow is being held without bond in the Marion County Jail. It was unclear if he had hired an attorney.
