Woman arrested for riding sea turtle

MELBOURNE, Fla. – A 20-year-old woman was arrested Saturday for riding a sea turtle according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Melbourne police said Stephanie Marie Moore was photographed sitting or riding the turtle on a beach back in July. The picture went viral.

Saturday Moore was arrested on a felony warrant and booked into the Brevard County Jail. Police said Moore was one of two women involved in the incident.

Florida Fish and Wildlife is investigating.
