Cape PD opens applications for annual ‘Shop With a Cop’

CAPE CORAL, Fla.- Cape Coral police are now accepting applications for the annual holiday tradition “Shop With A Cop.”

The program lets 35-40 children whose families are having financial issues spend some one-on-one time with local officers while shopping for gifts for themselves and their families.

To nominate a child, parents can pick up a form at the Cape Coral Police Department lobby or download a copy at capecops.com/shop-with-a-cop.

To qualify:

  • Child must be available on Monday, December 21 to shop.
  • Child must be in kindergarten through 12th grade.
  • Child and family must live in Cape Coral.
  • Child must be eligible for “free lunch” at his or her school.

The application forms can be turned in by mail or in person by Tuesday, November 17 at:
