MGN ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) – A 22-year-old central Florida man faces a first-degree murder charge in the shooting death of his father. Police say Cesar Benitez-Hernandez told them he shot his 48-year-old father who has the same name early Saturday following a fight. Orlando police spokeswomen Wanda Ford and Michelle Guido say officers were called to the home to investigate a stabbing. They found the son with “superficial” knife wounds to his hand and upper leg. His father had been fatally shot. The Orlando Sentinel (http://bit.ly/1Rznlnz ) reports the son was treated and released at a hospital before being interviewed by police. But investigators didn’t buy his self-defense theory. He was arrested. It’s not known whether he’s hired an attorney.
