IMMOKALEE, Fla.- The 17-year-old who crashed a car into a mobile home in Immokalee Monday night has been arrested, Florida Highway Patrol said.

The teenager is facing charges for wreckless driving causing serious bodily injury and property damage. He also received an infraction for violating his learner’s permit restriction.

A 14-year-old was extracted from the vehicle after authorities say the driver lost control of the car on Miraham Drive, ran through a stop sign and crossed over Miraham Terrace before driving into a home.

The 17-year-old’s mother, Doraelia Huerrera, also received a criminal citation for letting an unauthorized person drive her vehicle.
