Man accused of secretly recording girlfriend’s underage daughters

CAPE CORAL, Fla.- A Cape Coral mother discovered her live-in boyfriend had been taking photos of her children while they were changing behind closed doors, according to an arrest report released by the Cape Coral Police Department.

The victims’ mother said she was looking through her boyfriend, 52-year-old Javier Valdes’, phone when she discovered the videos of her daughters in the bathroom, shower, and their bedrooms, the report said.

The mother said it appeared Valdes videotaped the girls by placing his phone underneath the closed doors, the report said.

The girls’ mother kept the cell phone and handed it over as evidence after notifying police.

Valdes’ arrest report also states he admitted to his girlfriend that he made the recordings and said “he wasn’t sorry for doing it.”

Valdes is facing felony charges for video voyeurism.
