Fitness Friday: Core and spine stabilization exercises

FORT MYERS, Fla.-  Lower back injuries are pretty common in the gym, but there are ways you can prevent them before they happen. WINK News fitness expert Mike Drumm and Doctor Julie Bowditch stopped by the studio with some great tips and exercises to keep your back injury and pain free. Stabilization exercises
  • Lower trunk rotation (Repeat 10-20 times)
  • Dead bugs (Repeat 10-20 times)
  • Bird dog (Repeat 10 times on each side)
  • Plank/prone bridging on elbows (Repeat 5-10 times)
  • Repeat the series 3-5 times per week
