Hot & humid, scattered storms for Wednesday

Published: Updated:

FORT MYERS, Fla. There will be a high of 94 degrees with humid conditions and scattered storms during the afternoon and evening hours, WINK meteorologist Brooke Silverang said.

Areas of Southwest Florida will feel like more than 100 degrees.

A heat advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. for portions of Collier, Glades and Hendry counties due to greater than normal levels of heat and humidity, the National Weather Service of Miami said.

“So the high of 94, very misleading, it’s going to feel around 10 to even 15 degrees hotter than that thanks to all of that humidity on tap,” WINK meteorologist Matt Devitt said.
