NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. A 27-year-old man was killed Tuesday night in a hit-and-run on U.S. 41, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Brian Marinelli, of North Fort Myers, was hit by a car while walking around 9:56 p.m. in the right lane of U.S. 41 near North Fork Drive, according to the FHP. . A Chrysler 300 also hit Marinelli while going southbound on U.S. 41, the FHP said. The second driver stopped, but the first did not. Marinelli was pronounced dead at the scene. The first car sustained damage to the front and windshield. The FHP is trying to identify and find it. Anyone with information should call the FHP at 239-938-1800.
