A fatal shooting investigation is underway in Fort Myers two blocks south of City of Palms Park on Franklin Street Tuesday night.
Fort Myers police say when officers arrived on the scene, they discovered two men had been shot. Robert Edward Lane, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene and Serdarryel English, 37, was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.
The incident happed at 10:50 p.m. and police say there is no threat to the public at this time.
