A pedestrian has died after being hit by a pickup truck in Immokalee Friday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

State troopers responded to the fatal crash at New Market Road W and Flagler Street around 8:40 p.m. There was a complete roadblock at the crash scene.

FHP says the driver of a pickup truck with one passenger was heading southbound on SR-29 when the unidentified male pedestrian was walking across the travel lanes of SR-29.

The front of the pickup truck struck the pedestrian, then came to final rest in the Capital Pawn Shop driveway access at 330 New Market Road West.

The driver and passenger of the pickup truck were uninjured, and the pedestrian died from his injuries.
