State Sen. Ray Rodrigues (Credit: via WINK News) Ray Rodrigues will now move from the Florida House to the Florida Senate after winning the District 27 race. Rodrigues said he’s thrilled to make the move, and he praised his opponent Rachel Brown for running an incredible campaign. He then turned his attention to the voters who pushed him to victory by saying, “We’ve worked hard every day during that time period and to get to the end and get the result we have gotten with such a strong voter confidence from the voters of lee county is just very gratifying and very humbling.” Rodrigues said he’ll continue to work on the issues he championed during his eight years in the House; water quality, transparency in government, and speaking up for disabled students and children.
