An area to watch in Atlantic Basin; Another pleasant afternoon in SWFL

Published: Updated:

A non-tropical area of low pressure could form between the Bahamas and Bermuda by early next week. The system could gradually develop subtropical characteristics through the middle of next week.

This would happen while it moves northeastward AWAY from the United States. Right now, the National Hurricane Center is giving it a 20% chance of development within the next 5 days.

LOCAL FORECAST

Back in Southwest Florida, more moisture rolls in this afternoon, bringing us more cloud cover. Otherwise, you should expect another pleasant afternoon with temperatures near 80° with a breezy NE wind near 15 – 20 MPH!

By this weekend, we get even warmer with a limited potential for rain. Wave heights will also lower as the wind dies down. This pattern locally is much more “normal” for November!
