A mother and wife was already grieving the loss of her husband and one of her daughters after a crash Wednesday in LaBelle. Her 13-year-old daughter, Keanna, was rushed to the hospital and Sunday, she died.

Brenda Galindo cannot believe this happened. “It’s all a dream… It’s all a dream. I know it’s a dream,” she said crying.

The Galindo family held a candlelight vigil on Friday night to remember 14-year-old Aryana Galindo and her father, 42-year-old Enedino Galindo. They were both killed in Wednesday’s crash in LaBelle.

Keanna Galindo was taken to Lee Memorial with critical injuries and underwent brain surgery.

Anastasia Galindo lost her sisters and father. “She was crying when she heard us talking. She squeezed my mother’s hand,” she said.

Nearly 100 people came to that vigil in LaBelle to honor them and to pray together that Keanna would survive.

But, the family’s attorney says her injuries were too much. Keanna died Sunday afternoon.

“I feel empty. My family is not complete,” Brenda said.

The family is praying they’ll get through this tremendous loss.

A close family friend said this in a statement:

“All we can say is there is nothing to explain this pain words can’t even describe it I lost half my life in a week I never thought this would or could happen to me. Keanna loved to watch Anime and do TikTok videos with her sister and loves to sing. She was very tough and happy. She was our mini-me and loved everything.”

This crash is still under investigation. Criminal charges are pending for the other driver in the crash, who was also taken to the hospital with critical injuries. WINK News does not yet have an update on her condition.
