
The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado touched down in Cape Coral almost a week ago when Southwest Florida was ravaged by storms.
The tornado in Cape Coral was rated an EF0 with winds of 60 to 70 mph.
This brings the tornado count to six in Southwest Florida during storms on Jan. 16.
The tornado did some damage between Trafalgar Parkway and Pine Island Road in Cape Coral.
A photo shared with WINK News showed damage to a fence.
An EF1 tornado was confirmed in the Gulf Cove area of Charlotte County with 100 mph wind. A second tornado in Charlotte County was also confirmed.
Two tornadoes were reported in Collier County, at Lely Resort and near Alligator Alley.
An EF2 tornado struck Lee County.
