LeeTran ferrying people on Pine Island to FEMA sites

On Friday, LeeTran buses will operate on Pine Island to get citizens to FEMA assistance locations.

According to the Matlacha/Pine Island Fire Control District, FEMA will be located at the Pine Island Library, located at 10701 Russell Road, and the First Baptist Church in Saint James City, located at 3417 8th Ave.

LeeTran emergency buses will pick people up at the following places:

  • Fire Station 3, 14851 Stringfellow Road
  • Matlacha Community Park Boat Ramp, 4577 Pine Island Road
  • Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, 12175 Stringfellow Road & Mackerel Road
  • Pine Island Shopping Center, 9864 Stringfellow Road
  • First Baptist Church, 3417 8th Ave.
  • Flamingo Bay, Stringfellow Road & Curfew Drive

The FEMA assistance sites will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with LeeTran buses running from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
