Four dead in plane crash off Venice coast

Authorities have recovered two more bodies in a plane crash off the coast of Venice that killed four on Wednesday night.

Two bodies were recovered in the Gulf of Mexico after a small plane crashed about a half-mile off the Venice Fishing Pier around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to an update by the Venice Police Department on Thursday, William Lumpkin, 64, Patricia Lumpkin, 68, Ricky Beaver, 60, and Elizabeth Beaver, 57, died in the crash.

According to the Venice Police Department, the bodies of two men between 50 and 60 years old were recovered from the crash on Wednesday.

The women’s bodies were recovered on Thursday.

The place was also found on Thursday.

The two couples left St. Petersburg on Wednesday and arrived at the Venice Airport at around 5 p.m. for dinner at Sharky’s in Venice.

The plane departed for St Pete at around 9:35 p.m. but crashed soon after takeoff.

The crash remains under investigation.
