Francis Suarez, the mayor of Miami, has announced he will be running for president.

According to new FEC filings, Suarez has filed the paperwork Wednesday for his nomination.

This marks the only Hispanic candidate’s formal entry into the race as a Republican candidate.

Suarez is expected to speak Thursday at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California.

This is a developing story and WINK News will update this article as new information is found.
