The WINK News Weather Authority keeps Southwest Florida up to date with its hourly weather forecast, seven days a week.

WINK News Meteorologist Zach Maloch is tracking a cold front dropping temperatures for Wednesday and Thursday in the Southwest Florida area.

Here’s what to expect for the next three days:

Wednesday: Cool morning with high clouds overhead. Temperatures are starting in the 50s and low 60s. Breezy conditions this afternoon with high clouds continuing to stream in. Highs in the upper 60s to low 70s.

Thursday:  Cold start to the day with lows in the mid-upper 40s and low 50s. More clouds than sun through the day with high clouds still moving through. Highs in the low-mid 70s.

Friday: Milder morning with lows in the mid-upper 50s. We’ll see another day with a partly to mostly cloudy sky. Highs in the mid-upper 70s.

Scattered rain and storms are looking more likely on Sunday.

The timing of these storms continues to shift a bit, but plan on storms beginning in the afternoon and continuing through the evening.

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma has noted the possibility for severe weather in the south-central United States Friday and Saturday.

If those severe storms come to fruition, portions of Florida and Southwest Florida may risk seeing strong to severe storms Sunday.
