WINK News anchor Amanda Hall introduces us to a man serving kids battling illness and injury in the hospital and who recently answered the call to help all Florida families. Brad Devlin recently joined the Florida State Guard, something that was laid on his heart while helping neighbors after Hurricane Ian. “I was on Sanibel for a couple of days; Fort Myers Beach for a couple of days, and the governor announced that he was reforming the Florida State Guard. I never had the opportunity to serve in the military, so I wanted to do something, and I found that that was going to be the best way to just provide for my community and my state.” Now, he’s ready to put on the uniform and embrace the motto “When disaster calls, we answer.” Watch above for the full story.
