Sheriff: Pine Manor domestic violence incident leaves 2 in critical condition

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a domestic violence situation at a home in Pine Manor that hospitalized two people.

According to Sheriff Carmine Marceno, a man forced his way into his ex-girlfriend’s home located near Seventh Avenue in Fort Myers.

The two then allegedly argued before shots were fired.

Both people sustained critical injuries and were hospitalized.

Deputies swarmed the neighborhood following the domestic violence call at around 1 a.m. on Thursday.

Yellow crime scene tape has been placed around the home’s perimeter while deputies investigate the scene.

The duplex owner shared security camera footage capturing a glass window breaking, gunshots, screaming and arguing.

Sources had contacted WINK News stating that one person is dead from a shooting and several have been transported to a hospital for injuries; however, investigators confirmed that information was inaccurate.

The scene remains under investigation.
