The unrelenting downpour of rain in Southwest Florida is impacting traffic, businesses and now Florida Gulf Coast University.

According to FGCU, all classes, instructional activities and events hosted by external entities, such as conferences and summer camps, are canceled for the rest of Thursday.

The area around FGCU has seen considerable rainfall over the last three days.

In a tweet on X, FGCU noted that administrative offices are “available via a remote environment as practical, and campus will remain open for activated essential personnel.”
