Truck hits school bus on College Parkway and Queen Elizabeth Way; 1 child transported

According to Lee County Public Schools a dump truck hit the back of a school bus that was at a complete stop on College Parkway and Queen Elizabeth Way.

The Lee County School District said that one injured child has been transported and another child was checked out at the scene.

The crash happened Friday, at around 4:38 p.m.

Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputies and South Trail Fire & Rescue District both responded to the scene.

South Trail Fire said, in addition to the child, one adult was pinned down in the crash, and that person was taken to Gulf Shore Medical Center.
