There has been an update on the investigation at Montgomery Avenue in Tice which had two women transported to a local hospital with critical injuries. According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, they can confirm one woman is dead and one remains in critical condition, and that this is now considered a homicide investigation. On Friday, WINK News was on the scene and witnessed several Lee County Sheriff’s Office cruisers and dozens of deputies investigating the area. Deputies expanded the scene with crime tape multiple times. LSCO made a forced entry to the home after getting a concerning 911 call. Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno encouraged the public to remain clear of the area while they investigated the scene.
