Credit: UC Breaking A fatal traffic crash occurred in Collier County on 12th Avenue Northeast near Wilson Boulevard. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 69-year-old man was killed in a canal crash in Collier County. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. Saturday. The car was speeding east on 12th Ave. NE when it drove off the road and into the canal. The driver was taken to the hospital with critical injuries where he later passed away.
