In Fort Myers, public safety teams are out assessing roadways for debris and downed power lines. The Fort Myers Police Department urges people to stay off the roads and allow officials to do their jobs. CREDIT: Fort Myers Police Department Collier County Traffic Operations has shut down power at 13 intersections to protect equipment during the heavy wind and rain of Hurricane Milton as well as any storm surge into the traffic signal cabinets. Temporary stop signs are in place at the intersections, and drivers are reminded to use extra caution, stay alert and obey all traffic signage. Below are the affected intersections.
