The family of a 16-year-old shot and killed by a stray bullet has announced memorial plans.

Ja’yhanna Johnson was at a dance earlier this month in Hendry County when she was caught in the crossfire between gangs.

The viewing will be Friday night at the True Vine Church, followed by a funeral service on Saturday at the New Harvest Church.

Roosevelt Adderly the Third is one of the accused shooters and the victim’s third cousin. Deputies say the other accused shooter is Jayden Lawson.

Both are 15 and now face 2nd-degree homicide charges.

They’ll be in court three days after Johnson’s family buries her.
