Over 50 arrests made by LCSO after significant operation; sheriff’s office employee also involved

Over 50 people have been arrested after the Lee County Sheriff’s Office conducted an operation they dubbed Trick or Tweak.

Operation Trick or Tweak was a multi-month-long investigation aimed at targeting criminals who Marceno said are “poisoning our community.”

Of those arrests, 37 were trafficking charges.

An LCSO employee was also caught up in the operation and accused of sharing confidential information.

We know she was a warrant’s clerk. Her name is Savannah Georges.

Records show she admitted to tipping someone off about when he would be searched and arrested in the drug bust and used the Facebook messenger app and Facetime to tell his girlfriend to “put everything up,” referring to the deadly fentanyl he’s accused of selling.

Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno discussed the investigation during a news conference Wednesday afternoon.

Detectives seized 4.5 kilos of powdered cocaine, 70 pounds of marijuana, 22 firearms and over 550 grams of fentanyl.

They also seized $60,000, four vehicles, two ATVs and a jet ski.

The team worked up to Wednesday morning, serving a final search warrant at a residence in North Fort Myers.

This operation focused on targeting high-end suppliers.

“Not even the hurricanes will stop these operations,” Marceno said.
