The state attorney’s office has announced two unrelated indictment cases involving the distribution of fentanyl that led to death in Collier County.

In the first case, a Collier County grand jury indicted 44-year-old Brian Jessup (pictured), who has previous felony convictions, to one count of first-degree murder, unlawful distribution of fentanyl and the sale or delivery of a controlled substance.

According to the state attorney’s office, on May 11, Jessup killed the victim by the unlawful distribution of a controlled substance of fentanyl, which caused the death of the victim.

In the second case, unrelated to the first, the grand jury indicted Kiomaris D. Moore for one count of first-degree murder and unlawful distribution of fentanyl.

State Attorney Amria Fox said between Aug. 25, 2023 and Aug. 27, 2023, in Collier County, Moore killed the victim by the unlawful distribution of a controlled substance with fentanyl, which caused a substantial factor in the victim’s death.

The state attorney’s office did not provide a picture for Moore.
