An organization dedicated to helping children and families just raised a whole lot of money. Grace Place for Children and Families held a gala and auction at the Elite Jet Hangar at the Naples Airport. For the past 20 years, Grace Place has provided pathways out of poverty. Saturday night, the Golden Gate City organization raised $1.8 million, far exceeding the initial $1 million goal. The money will go straight toward providing children and families the education, heart, courage and wisdom needed to succeed at no charge. WINK News anchor Emma Heaton emceed the “Night in Emerald City ” event, which followed the theme of the Wizard of Oz. So many came together to make a difference and ensure that every child can follow their own yellow-brick road to success.
