The Weather Authority is tracking warmer temperatures this afternoon, in the upper 70s to lower 80s. A cold front will bring scattered storms on Wednesday, and the temperature will drop into Thursday.

The Weather Authority Meteorologist Zach Maloch said, “We’re going to be seeing a little more humidity coming in throughout the day on Monday, thanks to the persistent southeast wind; that’s the reason why temperatures are warming up this afternoon, featuring the most warming afternoon we have seen so far this month.”

Monday

An area of high pressure is offshore in the Carolinas, pushing warmer air into Southwest Florida.

Expect sun and clouds for the afternoon, with the warmest air we’ve seen so far this month. Today’s highs will top out in the upper 70s and lower 80s.

Tuesday

It will be a milder and slightly more humid morning, with temperatures in the upper 50s to lower 60s.

Warmer temperatures continued, with highs climbing into the lower 80s. Tuesday afternoon will see a mixture of sun and clouds.

Wednesday

The Weather Authority is tracking a strong cold front that will be moving into Southwest Florida on Wednesday.

Scattered rain and storms will be possible along that front in the afternoon and early evening. Highs top out in the upper 70s to lower 80s.

Breezy conditions and cooler conditions arrive Wednesday evening and overnight.
